Broken Resolutions

Posted on January 17th, 2018.

Did you make a new year’s resolution? Have you fallen off the wagon yet? Oh, excuse me for a moment; the dessert I promised not to order just showed up!

You know the feeling. Condemnation, disappointment, failure…the list goes on.

January 1st: You are determined to stay committed to your plan.

January 2nd: No one could derail you.

January 5th: It’s getting harder but you are still focused.

January 15: You’ve reverted back to your old ways!

What resolution?

Right about now, you need this encouragement – don’t live in condemnation.  Choose to pick yourself up and try again. Don’t buy the lie that because you messed up you are “washed up.” Try again. When you fall down, keep trying.

Get back up!

This also applies to your relationship with Christ. Know that He will never condemn you, but will love you unconditionally, forgive you, and make a way where there seems to be no way.

He is the God of second chances…and broken resolutions!

With Love,

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1
