Even if you haven’t watched one NFL game this season (and I know many of you haven’t), I doubt you’ve missed the reports in the news about a No-Call in one of the games Sunday. A No-Call is when there was an obvious penalty that should have been seen and called by a referee, but wasn’t.

Seeing this incident shared over and over got me thinking.

How many times in my life have I done something that should have been “called;” something that should have gone on my record, displayed for all to see my error; a penalty-filled conversation spewing out of my mouth in anger and frustration or an attitude of bitterness that went seemingly unnoticed by the referee of my soul?

I am so grateful for the mercy of God! How appreciative I am that a few “no-calls” were extended to me in place of penalty and judgement.

“Grace, grace, God’s grace.

Grace that will pardon and cleanse within.

Grace, grace, God’s grace.

Grace that is greater than all my sin.”

  1. Good morning to you Dave and your wife. I just this week heard you on Gateway Church and I sent the link to my co-worker and sister. I watched it again with my husband later in the night. You are truly an inspiration and I pray God continues to bless you and your family! I do hope you come back to Jamaica one day. You made us laugh and cry at the same time. Thank you for your blog and for sharing with us! God Bless you!

  2. You read my mail Dave. I have been increasingly negative and vocal about things going on with government instead of being grateful that I live in a free country and thanking God for that. I’m a Navy brat and Navy Mom of a senior Chief. Lots to be grateful for! Thanks for coming to Victoria Tx!
