Wrong Exit

Posted on March 31st, 2016.

Have you ever taken an exit while driving on the interstate, only to realize at the last minute you’ve taken the wrong one? It’s too late to swerve back into the flow of traffic and now you are committed to the exit ramp ahead. Thankfully, most of the time, straight ahead is an on ramp, allowing you to re-enter the interstate with only a minor delay of your time.

We need to remember that our walk with Christ is similar. We are not perfect; we will make mistakes and wrong turns along the way. Thankfully, through Christ’s provision for forgiveness, all we have to do is continue straight ahead with our eyes fixed on Him and we get right back where we need to be.

The key is not becoming distracted at the end of the exit ramp.

Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
Proverbs 4:27
